Catalogue Raisonné

Throughout his life, S.H. Raza compiled information relating to his work with the aim of keeping track of it and ensuring its sustainability. These archives, initiated under his supervision and completed after his death, constitute the richest body of information about the artist and his work. The culmination of this work is the publication of monographs and the Catalogue Raisonné.

In 2019, The Raza Foundation launched the preparation of the first volume of the Catalogue Raisonné of paintings with Les Éditions de la Différence.

The Estate of S.H. Raza

S.H. Raza is survived by his daughter, Devina Raza who lives in Paris and is the primary member of the estate. The estate is run by Soufiane Bensabra. The Raza Foundation-Gorbio is the will and the wish of Sayed Haider Raza.

S.H. Raza Archives

The Raza Foundation owns the archives of S.H. Raza and Janine Mongillat which include photos, letters, images and objects.

The Estate of Janine Mongillat

Janine Mongillat (1929-2002) was the wife of S.H. Raza from 1959 until her death. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Janine Mongillat worked her life alongside her husband. Today, her works are preserved in the collection of the Raza Foundation-Gorbio, in the Modern Art Museum in Paris and at the New Delhi National Gallery of Modern Art in India.

Les Éditions de la Différence is preparing a monography of Janine Mongillat’s artworks.
